GiGi Interactive Wall

Tommy Hilfiger / Random Studio

A custom 10k, touch enabled, shopping experience designed in collaboration with Random Studio for Tommy Hilfiger. Supports up to 4 persons at the same time with a native resolution of 7680 x 3240 pixels. The installation was on display at the New York Fashion week and Bread and Butter Berlin.

The wall allows customers to browse and purchase items from the new GiGi Hadid collection. Different sections show the content in different ways, including an interactive video, looks and collection view. By liking items the customer creates a personal wish list that is sent to his or her phone or mail, including the option to buy everything on Zalando or the Tommy website. Naivi developed the entire wall application.

Logic, layout, drawing and interaction is handled by Naivi's own NAP C++ framework. NAP has been in development for some time now and allowed us to place, connect and draw all items at a fast framerate without having to compromise the output resolution. Using our technology we managed to avoid upsampling smaller buffers, realizing the display's full potential.

The installation also features directional audio from 4 individual speakers, a custom touch input handler, 2 lidar sensors to detect people and embedded chromium OpenGL rendering.
